What do i need to slam my 3G TL?

Okay basically i want my TL slammed and i need to know what i need to buy/get installed. I know i need coilovers, but do i need anything else?

I have heard people talking about cambers, dampers, struts, tucking tires, roll bars, etc.

Do i really need all that or can i slam my car with just coilovers or do i need more accessories and body mods?

Thanks
- Chris

At minimum you will need a rear camber kit....I'm slightly tucking all around in stockies, and my alignment came out fine......

Any lower, your going to need front camber kit....if you go 3" it will definitely hit your shock tower and need the skunk2 front camber arm or drill holes were it hits......

As for coilovers you have many choices...I have tein street advanced but there are others that go way lower like the isc n1 coilovers,

So if i wanna go 3" i would have to get rear and front camber kit?

And it doesn't matter the type of tire you have?

Thanks

The rear camber kit is necessary since a 3" drop will make you camber more than -3 degrees. The front is kind of optional as a you will be getting around a -1.7 camber, which is only a slight bit out of spec and shouldnt make much of a difference. Really up to you whether or not you want a perfect alignment or not. If you have the extra cash go ahead and get both camber kits. If you dont just get the rear camber kit first as the front can wait a bit.

No, the type of tire doesnt matter.

Actually your rim size and offset along with tire size will have a lot to do with what mods may be needed to slam it.

STARTER KIT (< 1/5")
- Coilovers
- Rear camber kit

MORE AGGRESSIVE (> 1.5")
- Front camber kit
- Cash reserves for annual rear tire replacements

FENDER WORK
Will depend on the wheel offset, tire height and how low you go. I recommend cutting. All three of those factors play in to HOW you want to do it. In other words, what Myron said.
