Im in the same position as you. I've seen guys here with a 20x8.5 with a 35 series and they say that it is not rubbing and there's a lot of 19x8.5 with a 35 series as well.

I wanna go with 19x8.5 with a 40 series but I'm not sure if it will rub. I would assume that this is almost the same as a 20 inch with a 35.

I also wanted to keep my stock suspension for now.

There's a lot of bad roads where I take the car to work and this is the reason I'm going with the 40.

If anyone can help, please advise. Thanks.

You might get away with 225/40/19, but wouldn't go with a wider tire on 40 series.

I have Bridgestones 960AS 245/35/19

Love them!

What kind of car are we talking about? I always use this tire size calculator. I find it very helpful.

Oh ya and for tire brand, I have had Toyos in the past and I will be buying them again. The Toyo Proxes 4 are awesome tire.
Those are the next tires I'm going to buy for my 2003 Maxima SE.
