What is the advantage of having a 2 or 3 piece wheel?

As compared to a 1 piece. I noticed the 2 and 3 peice wheels are more expensive. I would assume a 1 piece wheel to be stronger since the more parts you have, the greater chance of parts loosening up, shifting, etc. Could someone please explain.

true to a cerstain extent, ,about the possibility of failure due to part quantity. But in terms of lip size and style, its a matter of opinion which is better. Also, the integrity oif the parts and materials being used will also make a huge difference.
