Weight of 2004 TL stock rims...
Hi everyone,
Anyone know the weight of 2004 tl stock wheels?
I'm getting new wheels but I want to consider the weight difference between the stock wheels and the pros/cons of going heavier.
Thanks!

Tristan,
I have no idea the weight of the OEM wheel.
This is a little OT, but what if you get aftermarket wheels that are bigger diameter (18"-20"), but they are lighter than the OEM wheels? Will it benefit performance due to the decreased weight, or hamper performance, due to the larger diameter of the wheel, and the effort needed to make these wheels go?

Good question! My original post was trying to get the same info...
Here's what I think: If the aftermarket wheels are heavier, it will affect your acceleration but if you get 18s or 19s, then the handling might improve????
Anyone else have input?

Well, then you have to look at if you get bigger wheels, bigger tires?

The 17" OEM wheeltire combo were within ONE pound of my 19-inch Privat Netz wheel/tire combo so if you get the RIGHT 19-inch wheels, it's not a real issue.
