What would you buy? The Work wheel is a 2 piece 100% cast wheel. They are rated good and strong. A set of 19x8.5" cost $2150 shipped. And can get in 6 weeks, 8 weeks max. OR the Volk GT-S same size for $2400 shipped. They take 12-20 weeks to get. They are forged and cast. Both will be in a silver finish for a 2007 ASM TL-S. The Work wheel weighs 25.6#. I am not sure about the Volk, I think its about 23#. That IS350 looks great with the work wheel, but will they look good on a TL? I saw a 2nd gen TL with GT-S wheels and it looked real nice. I am having a hard time deciding. Your opinions definately help very much. I am not a wheel pro. I just don't want to make a mistake. Yah, I called 2 places about them. One place said they don't think they will fit. Another one in New York says they will fit with +43 offset. $2150 shipped. Do you think being 100% cast is ok? I believe my stock tires and wheels are 51#. The Work is say 26#, the Toyo T1R 245/35/19 is 23.6# thats a little over 49# And he said probably 6 weeks. I might order tomorrow it I can get a definate answer. I wonder if TPMS will fit on that wheel being 100% cast? I would like to know what face finish is really on the IS 350.

I think both would look sick on your TL. I wouldn't mind having either one. However, I would choose the one with the largest lip out of the two.

Thanks, YOUR car is SO HOT If I had a black TL it would be your twin But I have ASM so silver center wheels with polished lip is my choice. I THANKYOU very much for answering. I have been on the phone for 3 hours this morning with Volk And Works wheel dealer. I am waiting for an official answer on the fit for the Work Varianza. I believe after much research the lip will be the same on both wheels. 1.5. These Brembo's PISS me off I have the credit card in my hand but can't decide. A dealer in Wisc quoted me 19x8.5" Volk GT-S with Toyo T1R 245/35/19 with mounting balancing lug nuts and lock nuts with tax total $3,486. Just the Work Varianza wheels shipped to my door for $2,142. I CAN'T DECIDE.

The Work wheel is 28 pounds

The Varianzas no question about it, if you were looking a couple of months ago they had a special on them. Here is a TSX with Varianzas..You can make the Work fit however way you want, you can have an 1" lip or 3" lip if you like just speak to your dealer and he should be able to give you good advice.

Thanks for your compliments!!!! Your car will look sick once you put on either of those wheels. You cannot go wrong with either rim. Goodluck with your decision and be sure to post up lots of pics for us.

I just ordered a set 19x8.5" In Machined silver polish, R-disc, +40 offset, 1.5" lip, with hub centric adapters for conical lugs. I think they are identical to the front wheels on that awesome white IS 350. Are they? I was told to use stock lugs and the hubcentric ring adapter. Any comments on what I need is great. Thankyou very much for all your awesome help I CAN'T WAIT. He said it might not take as long because its a new wheel and they get alot of parts make so they can put together quicker. What tire and size. I was thinking 245-35-19. What make and model model. I have my stock ones for winter.

I would go for aftermarket lug nuts to compliement your new wheels. I think ASM would look nice and your wheel should stands out. Yes my friend fronts are 19x8.5 and the rear are 19x10

yeah for an 8.5 wheel I wouldn't go wider than 245 ... Falkens are good too I have them on my car FK502

YAH you have all been very patient with me. I am sorry but I must get everything correct.

Listen to this: I ordered from Revspec NYC. R-disc with +40 offset. I told them I can't even have 1mm past the fender, NO WAY! Now I am out looking at tires when I get a phone call from another Works dealer in NY. He tells me the wheel will fit the Brembo's, etc. Then he explains the size for my car would be R-disc with +43 offset, AND it might stick past the front fender 1-2mm. NOW that would mean the R-disc with +40 ofset would stick out 4-5mm past the fender. SHIT. So I had to call back (again) Revspec and explain all of this. He called Japan again. They said they already know about this case(ME) And they will triple check to make sure what offset will fit and not go past the fender. BREMBO'S SUCK.

Just a fwiw, we are a dealer for both volk and work and the GT series volk are not 23lb, most of them are in the 25lb range.

Work Varianza with the machined face (MSP) But that could change in 5 months

when I intend to order whatever I am getting. I need to do TONS of research on

buying the BEST TPMS straps.... Sucks, but this is the only way to do it....

Thanks alot. I think they look fantastic. I wish I could get them in a couple weeks.

BUT thats not the case. It takes about 6-8 weeks minimum. Thats when I take my

fancy wheels OFF for the Winter. Now that I see there are WAY BETTER

mounts for TPMS sensors to wheels OTHER THEN STRAPS, I am much more thrilled

about getting them. I Forged makes a new system for 2,3 piece wheels that

are designed correctly, They mount to the valve !!! Thats Awesome !!!

Not sure if the stems will fit other wheels, but it's distinctly possible. If the Iforged stem hole/length are a standard size, then they may work...

Key things to look for are stem length and valve hole diameter... Someone will have to take the plunge and buy a set of these and try them on a Volk wheel. They do look very similar though.

It's interesting to note iForged used to sell thier wheels WITH straps. The straps aren't ideal, but they work, if iForged was providing them with thier $4000+ wheels.

One thing's for sure, Iforged makes em, they're gonna cost $$$. I bet at $200 at least.

If they're more than $50, the straps are still the way to go (unless your JD)...

$40 for a solution that works fine, or $200 for a solution that works fine... what's the average consumer gonna pick? Don't get me wrong, those stems might not cost that much at all... If they're cheap AND work, that's a winner.

but iforged wheels are a premium luxury wheel, and much like Volk, everything from them comes with a premium price...

WOW, you have straps, they work, they are cheap, I guess you like the cheap way that

works. I DON'T. IMO the straps are a joke. ANYTHING like a hose clamp on my wheel

IMO SUCKS. PERIOD. Can't you open your mind to a way better design. The straps

crack me up... SO TOTALLY CRUDE. I would be embarassed to pick them over a system

that would cost more but are so much better. I just hope the iForged TPMS sensor

mounts fit on ANY wheel I buy. $200 is what I WILL spend over $40 STRAPS. DONE...

Woooow......... don't fight... They are not that expensive. They are $20 each +shipping. So, under $100 and you have a great solution for the tpms problem.

What "AVERAGE" consumer buys forged 2 or 3 piece wheels??? Most of the

crap ugly wheels I see where I live are bought @ PepBoys, Sears, and local

tire shops, 18" 4 for $499, 19" 4 for $599, etc... A person who spends $600+

on one wheel isn't going to care about spending another $50 per wheel

for a TPMS sensor mounting system that is just like an OEM one. I for one

ALWAYS do TONS of research on anything I BUY. If I don't like a design of

something I search UNTIL I find what I THINK is the best. Just like my Home

Theater HD Projector. Took me 7 months of VERY HARD (many many hours)

research to get one that I LIKED. I ended up with a HD Projector that

Rivals ANY REAL theater. SO GO FIGURE why I PREFER the iForged system.

I'm not fighting... I've made numerous posts explaining that the bands are not as bad as JD whines about. I've shown MANY OEM solutions are band based, as are most aftermarket TPMS kits.
If they're $80 a set, not a bad solution... assuming they'll fit anything other than brand iforged . Those mounts are also designed around Corvette sensors, I'd hope they fit our sensors as well...

Most consumers just don't care JD, as long as the system works. I certainly don't... It's not like you can see them... and it's a proven solution.

Heh JD... You did so much research on your first set of rims that you sold them within 20 days of buying them...

The way you present yourself is that it sounds like you have a lot of $$$ to throw around. Those "crap ugly wheels" you say are what those people can afford. Most of us regular folks still think $200 is alot of $$$. I am not sure what your HD Theater has to do with this discussion. I also research before I buy but if I can not afford something its a mute point isn't it? People are going to buy what they can afford period. If you can afford the higher priced option then great. If someone else can only afford the lower priced option then great. The most important thing is that both types are viable options at moment.

If you think it's worth spending the extra $ to get the piece of mind knowing that you have a safe and sound tire setup, then by all means go for it. To me, it's just a little sensor that measures the tire pressure...so what?
