Vibration
This past weekend I decided to check my front tires. They seem a little low on air. It was like this when I first got the car but never really looked into it. The tires were a little under 30psi. Maybe 29 or 28. So I filled them up to 35psi.
The next day I went to NJ. While driving on the turnpike I notice the vibration at 75mph and up. When I drove on the I287 going about 75mph and up, there is no vibration.
Before I filled my tires to 35psi, I had vibration but it was not severe. It comes and goes. It wasn't that noticeable. But when I filled it to 35psi, the vibration is more noticeable. It only occurs 80mph and up. It also only occurs on the turnpike. It never occurs on any other highways I drive on.
I'm thinking it's the tires.

Combination...
It's the tire tread pattern, the road surface texture, and that particular pressure all coming together. A few PSI difference in pressure can make quite a difference.
But EL42's aren't the best tires, that much is certain.
