Varrstoen ES2 Full Polish 18x9.5+22

Varrstoen ES 2.2.1 FULL POLISH 18x9.5+22

I cannot seem to find these desired specs from their site. For Full Polished, they only have 18x9.5+12, which seems far too aggressive for a car lowered with no wheel gap. They have 18x9.5+22 for every other finish though, like Matte Black, Hyper Black, or Gloss White. Am I gonna have to get them in one of these coats, then have em finished in Full Polish?
This is probably something I should be asking them about, but I figured you guys could give me some input beforehand...

Thanks in advance, all

Go with the ET22...Will be perfectly flush...Will need fender rolling, camber, and stretching of tires if dropped more then 1.8 inches...

You see this was my initial decision, but this is my DD, and 19's just seems too hazardous. Also I do not have a whole lot of knowledge regarding camber. Perhaps I can do some research. Did you install yourself?

I have been trying to speak with THIS GUY ib18c1 for further suggestions but he rarely attends Acurazine lol

You would need to buy at least a rear camber kit..http://www.heeltoeauto.com/ingalls-r...ide-38725.html Order 2 of these for rear...
Are you lowered? if so how much...If not do your drop first...If your going lower then 1.5-1.8 inches then you would run 225/40/18's all around...If mild drop say like 1.2 to 1.5 inches could run 235/40/18 tires....Good Luck

P.S...19's look the best if you're going with a wheel with a lip

Yes I am lowered, Italiano. In fact, just today I finished installing my TEIN SA's.
Im still on stocks, and Im not about my wheel sitting under the fender well, so Im only lowered 1.25"(F) and 1.125"(R) until I get the wheels.

Although I would abs love the look, I still feel like 19's would be too much.. even though it is tempting! Your TL's arent daily, right? I am a real conservative driver, and have never curbed my wheels.. but I am convinced when people tell me 18's is the safer route - I wont have to deal with major fendor roll/stretch nor any camber kits to prevent rub.

About the tires, I was thinking 225/40/18 (F) and 235/40/18 (R). Italiano, are you saying 235 series are still too beefy if I lower ~1.8" all around?

Thanks for the tips thus far guys.

^235's would work in the rear. Unless your running a wider tire for protection, 18's vs 19's in your case would be the same either way. Even with a 235 tire on 18's, you can still cause damage if you run up on a curb. With 18's you can run a taller sidewall (40 series) and have a little more comfort during your commute.

Something to consider though... Do rim/tire stores in your area stock 19" tires. I dont daily my TL , but if I had a flat tire, it would be couple of days until I could get another one shipped to me. Tire shops in my area carry 18" and 20" tire regularly, but not 19" tires

With the specs of 18x9.5 or 19x9.5 et 22...You will still have to put in the work of what I said...This is a flush fitment ...On a 9.5 wheel 245 series is ideal...But when lowering 1.8 or more regardless of 18 or 19 inch wheels...You will have to play around with Tire sizes...I have done the work already with those specs...

Interesting. I'd have to check that out with my local shops. But, there is yet another reason why I am leaning more toward 18's... sorry 19ers

damn. ya flush professionals are making this a tough debate.

Pitorican, weren't you having issues with your camber kit, and had to modify it to get more camber to sit flush? These are the issues I don't want to deal with. Other than this, I understand there will be fender roll and stretch, and I am okay with that. But what tires do you guys recommend for stretching? Falken 452? Nitto?

Italiano this setup is the definition of flush. Are you running front camber also? And I doubt this is your daily..
ps: It's funny, I have the same ding in the exact spot you do!

I'm lowered roughly 3 inches and I have no camber kits. Wheels are es2.1's in 18x9.5 +22, so the exact specs you are looking at. 225/40/18 tire and natural camber from lowering. Rolled fenders also.

Well then varrstoen with et22 or et12 arent for u and Ya I was but having front camber issues that was cause I was told the skunk2 kit could go -3 degrees when it could only get-1.5.. The fix for that issue is easy so I still say 19's... U have my number to get ahold of me... Everyone makes it sound so hard to do man when it's really not... I'm extending out the same offer that 05_nbp_tl did for me is tell me every issue and fix I needed to know before I went down this road... I was in ur shoes a few months back and trust me I don't regret it one bit and if it wasn't for someone like 05_nbp_tl talking me through some of this stuff I would have gave up... So if u need me I'm here and I'm sure there are also other members that will do the same...

OP, If/when you go down this road, go ahead and lower/install wheels and see if you are flush enough with natural camber. I went with skunk2 arms in the front because I mostly wanted to have the same camber specs on each side.

I could have gotten by with my factory control arms but I didnt want -2 camber on one side and -2.3 on the other.

And pitorican made the skunk2 mod look really easy if anyone needs to get more camber out of the setup.

Alright, good looks guys. I really appreciate your input. I will put some further thought into getting 19x9.5+22 since that seems like the way to go!

OP - I want to see this route happen for you, in either 18s or 19s. I love these rims. Back when I started to think about this, I emailed one of the vendors linked from the main Varrstoen website, I think it was Aspec wheels or something like that. I was looking for similar specs, but in hyper black. They responded quickly regarding their future availability, so I would try that.

Also - not sure if you have a 6MT, but I'm not sure that the ES2 et+22s clear brembos. Maybe someone here can chime in on that?

This is why I went with skunk 2 (Hella Flush ones) in front..When they come you flip the ball joints for the 3 degrees... Ran 3 degrees on all four corners and toe set at 0

I spoke with ib18cu through PM.. the one with the 19x9.5+22 (his picture above) Varrstoen Full Polished. He said he had 7mm spacers up front (I am assuming to clear brembos). This made his setup up front 19x9.5+15. He recommended I go 19x9.5+30, so when I do need spacers, they wont poke so much.

But guys, I have cross-drilled rotors, and they specifically say that Brembo's will NOT fit on these rotors, though I see several people have them on theirs.. Whatsup?

Desperate much???

This is far from the correct thread for what you are asking, which basically sounds like you asking us to mod your car for you.

Start here, its where I end up getting most of my parts, don't just hijack random threads:

I have the es1's 18x9.5 +30 and I need a 2mm spacer to clear the brembos. I LOVED ib18c1's setup and I would have done that setup in the 19's but I got mine used locally. I could have tucked alittle more with 19's. I daily my TL btw.
