Urgent: KYB GR2's on '05 TL?

Hey fellow TL drivers and fans,
I've got about 60,000 miles on my '05 TL, and there's a knocking coming from the front right passenger side. I've heard it could be due to a failed strut and I'm taking it into the shop to get it looked at. If it does turn out to be a strut problem, are KYB GR2's any good? That's what the shop recommended and they seem to be priced well. Anything I should watch out for or be aware of? If at all possible, I'd like to maintain factory specs for handling, ride height, etc. I know it's late notice, but I'm taking it in this morning, so any immediate help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

They are a stock replacement shock with the same specs. They are great quality and anyone will tell you they have a long life and perform exactly like stock. You really cant get any better for a stock replacement shock.

hey, how did your eibach springs affect the handling and ride? i'm sure it's sportier and all, but did it make a significant difference?

That's just the thing, I'm not looking for a super low drop. The Eibach pro kit claims a 1" drop in the front & rear, which is exactly what I'm looking for.
