Hello guys,

I have read some posts about uneven wear on tires after the A-Spec suspension. Some claimed that it went away when A-Spec wheels went from 8.5 to 8 inches in width.

I am thinking about putting the a-spec suspension on my TL and I have 9 inch wide wheels. Do you think it would present a problem and cause bad tire wear? In my mind if 8 vs. 8.5 makes a difference, than what would 8 vs. 9 make. Or am I just paranoid?

What sort of uneven wear are you seeing with your car? It could be as easy as an alignment issue. If you're still within your 12000 miles, get the dealer to perform a 4 wheel alignment on the car for you. By the way, if you plan on installing the A-Spec suspension yourself, you should probably get the alignment right before and then do the install. At that point you probably don't need to realign after the install. If you ask the dealer to do it AFTERWARDS, they might not be willing to do the free re-alignment for you since you changed the suspension.

I have a 04 TL with 21500 miles and 18" 235/40/18 tires on my A-Spec 8.5" wheels. No uneven wear as far as I can tell (and yes, I checked my rears too).

I do not have any excessive wear nor uneven wear. I just read that people do after the A-spec suspension install (even after allignment)
