TSW wheels?

Does anyone have experience running TSW wheels? I've read a few comments here and there about TSW wheels being "soft" but nothing specific.

I'm looking for a reasonably priced 18" wheel and a number of TSWs fall in that category but is there a catch?

Here is a 19x8 TSW Thruxton Hyper Black on a dealer demo car

I had a pair of TSW Trophy's on my Civic 17"-205/40/17. And let me say first it wasn't the thin tires because I went through seven sets of different wheel brands on my the Civic with 40 series tires. Anyway, before I purchased them everyone kept telling me they were soft wheels. I didn't believe them because they were running cheaper wheels and I thought they were just hatin. Not even a month with them on and I bent one and within six months they were all bent. All four and the ride sounded so loud it was ridiculous. So I sold them and got a set of Quantum Tek S-08's, still a cheap wheel but kept them on for a year and not one ever bent. I was really pissed with TSW and even wrote the company and never got a reply. Yeah, they could argue I hit potholes, etc. but I didn't. My car was so low I was always very careful. I just decided from then on I would stay away from TSW wheels regardless of how good they looked. That was back in 2001 so maybe they have improved but unless I got a free set I wouldn't spend my money on them.

I ran a set of 17" TSW's on my old Maxima for 7 1/2 years with no complaints. I did bend one (after 5 years) but it was in a pot-hole you could loose a VW in. Both wheels hit the hole and only the front one bent, the back wheel also hit but did not have any damage.

The only thing that bothered me at the time, was trying to find a replacement. After 5 years had gone by TSW no longer carried the outdated model..... but I'm sure every manufacturer does this.

No other problems...in fact I got hit by someone who pulled out of a parallel parking spot and took out my right front quarter panel. The TSW was a bit scratched but not bent at all. I was AMAZED since the car looked pretty bad and knocked the tire off the wheel. I watched them rebalance the tire and the rim was as true as the day I bought them (Ran them for a year longer with no vibrations or unusual wear).

I'm sure the 19's will be a little more fragile but the TSW's turned out fine for me.

i had a pair 15" tsw wheel with 195 50/15 tires on my civic never bent one, but mine had the cap that hids the lug nuts, the cap was held on this over sized nut, that nut would seize up and make it a bitch to get the thing off, tsw gave me some crappy plastic tool to get the nut off but that cheap crap broke the first time i used it, had to go out a buy a large ajustable wrench just to get the damn nut off.

Just FYI, TSW wheels are being pushed by Valencia Acura because they have a big purchase deal with them. I don't think TSWs are horrible wheels....if you decide to get them, don't buy them from V.A. because they seem to be priced a little high.

These TSW Thruxton's are what I am looking for!!!!!!!!

How many 6spd TL's out there with these??? Any thoughts????

I found these on bigwheels.com for $230 per rim for 19's. What does everyone think about the looks?? I think it goes great with the body curves of the TL!!

Now I just have to find out who sells these......Yahoo search....

These TSW Thruxtons look great!!!!

How many TL owners have these - what size??

I am thinking 19's with 245-35-19's.

I have 18' RonJon's and I am very happy with them but these look really good with the five spoke design and the lip!!
