To the Toyo Proxes 4 Users...
I just replaced my stock with 19" ronjon inspyres with 245 toyo's. I dont know the difference between the 35's or 45's, but the 45's are like suction cups for cars. The only negative difference is that the car feels heavier going with the 19's, its not as nimble as it used to be. If the 45's give more protection to the wheels, why not? Other that I dont think there will be a dramatic difference between the two.
Go with the 245's. I have 235's and should have gone with the 245's for rim protection. They didn't mention it as an option until the tires were mounted and I was paying at the register. You won't notice any difference in handling. I can assure you though that the the Proxes 4's are sticky tires and you will love them. I was in a major downpour last night and they handled incredibly in the rain as well. My EL 42's hydroplaned so bad from the day I picked up the car that it was frightening.

I just got the Proxes4 installed this morning on my 04 18" Gunmetal wheels. I went with the stock 235/40/18s as I didn't want my Speedo/Odo to be off. Also, the guy at the Tire place said a lot of cars have their excelleration performance electronically connected to the RPM reading of the wheels. He therefore suggested going with stock so as to not throw off the computer.

Who knows....I might end up with the silver sparkles because if I ever damage the gunmetals due to lack of rim protection, I'm gonna be p!ssed and b!tch to Acura!
