Touchup Paint For Stock Rims ???
So it's a nice day today and I decide to spite my sore back I'm gonna wash the TL and enjoy the day
. In the course of washing it I noticed that front passanger side rim has curb rash on it - about 1/4 the way round the wheel
. Now, only the GF and I drive the car and I didn't do it soooooo ........ only ONE of us will be driving the car from now on.
Is there touchup paint out there made specifically for our stock rims? Would my Acrua dealer know what I was talking about if I asked them for such an item? It's really not THAT but since I know it's there it's the FIRST thing I see when I look at the car. I really hope that someone can give me some good news on this as I would HATE to have to buy a new rim over it
. TIA
.

Thank you! THAT is the thread I found just after my inital post lol! I think I'll take the same approach you did and see how it works out. If it looks too bad I might bite the bullet and get it fixed before winter - that way when I put the snows on I can leave the rim at the repair place and still drive the car.

I used Starlight Silver (a 2002 MDX color) and the results are pretty good- the touchup color is just a shade darker than the wheel color. After buying this Starlight Silver today, my Dealer called me and told me that Acura has a special wheel touchup color called Blade Silver that is intended for the wheels. I would use Blade Silver if I had a larger scratch on my wheel. I think only someone rubbing their fingers on my wheel rims would find the one scratch I managed to get in almost 2 years of driving.
