Tokico, KYB or Koni-What to buy?

have 2006 Auto TL lowered on the Tein S love the look and the ride on ASpec shocks have passed the wife test for the last 50,000 miles noticed in the last few weeks passenger strut and drivers rear shock have gone away

So want to keep the Tein S so which Stut/Shock and Why

Tokico Blue
KYB GR-2
Koni Yellow
Acura OEM

Wish I could say $$$$ doesn't matter but it does so also best value

I hear good things about the Koni yellows, but theyre pretty pricy... Do you have any pics of how your car sits with the Aspec shocks and S-techs. I have an Aspec and I am trying to figure out which springs to get, I wanna see what the drop looks like...

You really only listed 2 choices. GR-2's and Tokico blues are nothing but OEM replacements. the only choice of those 4 is the yellows.

I got the yellows on my ride with aspec springs!!!
at full soft, factory like ride.

its only when you stiffen the damping, you get a race car like ride.

1.koni
2. Tokico hts (excellerate has them real cheap)
3.tokico blues
4.kyp

In my opinion......I would rate then in this order

I just replaced my friends suspension with tokico blues and s tech springs...he had the aspecs also on his car..I have a picture but it's not a good angle.

Note: buy all brand new top hat kit(oem) if you can,for better piece of mind....

Drop is perfect in my opinion, for daily drivers who want to only be dropped midly...The ride is good also,I've had tokico before also and they handle lowering springs with no problems...

looking thru other forums all like the tokico blue which XCL8 does not stock when i inquired this week found alot of concerns regarding about Koni making bad clunk sound and have a friend who has them on TL and they do clunk on TL's as well. Going to make a decision shortly want them for Fathers day what could be better than shocks for fathers day

Konis don't have a clunking problem unless you forget the install the two additional washers on the rear or forget the washers on the front. In other words, if you have Konis and have a clunk, you installed something wrong.

The TL is good but the owner is going crazy. How have you guys been? Any chance of another drive or get-together in the future? When I think of the Morro Bay trip, all I can picture is Roger and those guys on the bike thing.
