Tokico HTS install...
So I just bought and installed a set of Tokico HTS shocks. They are a phenomenal improvement over my stock TL-S shocks. I have them paired up with stock springs as I wasn't looking to lower my car any. I got them after looking at the Konis because Excelerate was offering them for $500, and I was on a pretty tight budget.
This isn't my first car with a modded suspension, the previous car had Bilstein sports and H&R sports on it. That car was good, but this much better. I installed them full stiff, which is way to stiff for everyday, but damn the car cornered well! I backed it off one full turn from full stiff, and made a 90 mile trip with reasonable comfort. It feels more neutral now with less understeer. It's still a tad too stiff, so tomorrow I plan on taking another half turn out and trying that before my 200 mile trip next week. As of now, on bumpy concrete slabs it's just a bit to firm, even for me as I prefer a stiffer suspension. My goal is to get it some where between an AP2 S2000 and an E46 M3.
I got to give this site a huge thanks for all the info on installing suspensions and back seat removal. No way I could have accomplished that without the info found here.
I haven't used Koni before so I can't compare, but I can highly recommend the Tokico HTS, as they are also a direct bolt in with no modifications needed to the car.
I'll give you guys an update when after my next adjustment.

i just installed these on my '04 TL with Tein H-Techs and they are definitely an improvement over the stock shocks. I have mines set at 2 full turns from full stiff and they are perfect with the H-Techs.

Mine are on the stock setting that it originally came with. I paired them with h&r sports . I haven't adjusted them yet since I installed them. Ive been trying to find threads on what settings ppl have these on
I'm pretty much set to 3 full turns from firmest setting on all four dampners. I like it since I use my TL as my DD. However, once I upgrade my front and rear sway bars I will stiffen the shocks, so I can get full performance from my suspension.
