TL wheels on a TLS...

I'm thinking ahead to Winter and snow tires for my TLS. It seems like I can get a set of "base" wheels cheaper and more easily.

So my question is, will wheels from a base TL clear the Brembos on a TLS?

i am almost 100% sure that is a yes. the tl-s has no bigger brakes than the MT base TL, which has the stock rims, so you should be all good

i dont have the BBK, but i was thinking about getting some base stocks to put some winter tires on. my all seasons dont cut it in 6+ inches of snow

but what you should really do is slap some winters on your tl-s rims, and then buy some 18" or 19" and put some high performance summers or all seasons on them. then you ride would look really hot

Thanks for the quick replies. I didn't realize that the MT had Brembos as well.

I guess I know where to come for TL wheel info!

they also have a limited slip differential, and a thicker rear sway bar...

and this isnt just the place for wheel info, its the best place for all TL info

btw, welcome to the forum

You have to use a 3mm spacer to make sure they clear. I switched out the TLS wheels for the stock wheels when I purchased the TLS because I couldn't stand the black wheels (personal preference). When mounting the stock TL wheels it was so close to the brembo brakes, that a very small spacer was needed. I went online and found a 3mm spacer that I am still using until I purchase the A-spec wheels.
