TL on Aspec Springs

Does anyone have their TL wheel setups on Aspec springs? I would like to know what specs your running on your 19 and 20 inch wheels. Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking of getting some Rota P45R 19x9.5 all the way around. What is a good offset? Will I need to drop my car even more to make it look flush?

so instead of getting the entire a spec suspension you can just get the springs? what would these go for?

i would like to know the same because i was at acura last week and they don't know the part # for the Aspec suspension or the springs only. The only part # they have is for the whole aspec suspesion and 18 wheels as a package. I think the part # will be needed for better success!

I don't believe it's possible to purchase just the springs. I'm aware of individuals on this board who've had the A-Spec suspension on their cars and then swapped out the shock later (leaving the A-Spec spring), but not purchased the spring alone.

dealers cannot even order the entire a-spec suspension (shocks and springs) for the TL. dealers that do offer just the suspension are able to do so because they ordered an entire a-spec package and chose to part it out this way. my point, it's essentially impossible to get just a-spec springs from a dealer since they cant even order the whole susp setup by itself. oddly enough, this is not the case for all acura models. the TSX for example ... dealers can order just the a-spec susp for that.

^Not too sure about that.
When I was looking at spring options for my TL-S, my dealer was able to order A-Spec springs alone....he could even get only one spring if I needed it. And this wasn't a chopped up kit that they had in stock...they had to order from Acura Canada....no reason why they can't order specific A-Spec parts versus a kit. I'm sure it'll cost more piece by piece than the whole kit though.

^^^hmmm. all i know is my parts guy told me how weird acura is with the a-spec parts and ordering them. he even showed me his parts book and how there is no part number for just TL a-spec suspension. then showed me how for the TSX, there is. then he even called and asked if they (whoever "they" is) would allow him to order just the suspension and the answer was still no. i know this guy is being straight up with me. we've become pretty good friends over the past 2 yrs. i think i'm even the reason the traded in his TSX for TL. haha

I got just the A spec suspension thru Acura warehouse in Canada a few months back-it came in one box. Not installed yet, I was supposed to get the part # and post here---if I remember, I'll do that tomorrow. $400.00 CAD

can you confirm the drop with the a spec suspension? i dont want to go aftermarket as the drop is typically a lot lower with aftermarket springs and i want to retain an oem set up.

so getting the a spec springs and putting them on the original shocks will be ok?

08W60-SEP-400B is not a good part number here in The US

Mine was about .5" all around. I installed the manual trans kit on my auto so that the front would sit even with the rear. The manual tran cars are about 100lbs lighter in the front so the kit is designed to take this into account. If you use the kit that was designed for your car, the rear is going to sag or I should say the front will be higher than the rear. If you have a manual you don't really have a choice. This is where the Koni shocks come in. You can lower just the front 3/4" to make it sit just right.

Something I discovered is that if the parts department looks into the catalog for the suspension (by itself) as a parts upgrade offering, they can't find it. If, however, they look for the "replacement part" (as if a repair were being performed), they'll find it under that general category.

So just to clarify... If I keep the stock shock and replace the stock springs ONLY with A-Spec springs then I will only get a .5 to .75 drop?

And if I replace the whole supension (shock and springs) with A-spec suspension, I will get about 1 to 1.5 inch drop?

Is this correct?
