Tires and suspension

I am currently deployed to Iraq right now, so I left my acura tl inside the storage and will probably stay still for a year. I have my car lifted just barely for the 4 tires to not rest on the ground so they wouldnt go flat, but I heard that can possibly damage my suspension. Can any mechanics confirm this? If the damage will be done, What would i have to replace and How much the cost will be? Thank you

First, a heartfelt thanks to you and all the troops overseas.

Pros and cons to this situation, but lifting the car and resting on jack stands under the frame is not a guarantee that the suspension would be damaged, but in my opinion, it's certainly much better to leave the car weight on the suspension. I would either over inflate the tires and leave on the ground, or place the stands under the suspension at the 4 corners.
Can't confirm if it works:

Where did you position the supports and what did you use?

PM member TLFourPlay, he stored his car during his tour as well.

Also check TireRack.com tech articles on car/tire storage.

Be Careful.
