18" wheels don't come from the "factory" on the TL. They are 17" only from the "factory"

The 18" A-Spec tires are 235 40R18 (this is not a factory option) this is dealer after-market

245 40 18 is a better choice for an 05+ wheel

I like to stay as close to the stock rolling diameter as possible. The recommended tire size of 235 40R18 is only 0.3% different from stock diameter. The 245 40R18 is 1.5% different. All thought both a totally acceptable I like to stay as close as possible to speedo accuracy and not to cause ABS problems.

My understanding on previous cars is that you never want to breach the 5% threshold

No problem with the ABS. I'm running 255/40/18 on my 04 A-spec wheels and the ABS worked fine twice today trying to avoid a couple of squirls.

I've run all three sizes 235, 245, 255 on my car and by far the 255 is the best handling, offers more rim protection, offers a very good ride and saves miles on the odometer, but that's just my
