Which Tires?????

I'm going to look at tires this afternoon and have been reviewing them online. I think I have it narrowed down to either Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus or the Yokohama S4. Any advice on which one to go with? There's about a $20 difference between the two.

I just had a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus installed on my '04 manual 12 days ago to replace the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires that were nearing the end of their life. The new "Plus" version of these tires are quieter than the ones it replaces without any sacrifice in handling and tracking. A great tire for the manual TL's suspension, this is the one that should have been OEM for this car.

PM Turbonut about the Yokohama S4's. He has them and was a great help to me for my "other" TL, an '05 automatic (the wife's). I was debating between the S4's and the W4S's and decided to go with the W4S's last Saturday. So in a period of 7 days, I had both TL's shod.

Can't comment on the Micehlin, but do have the S.4 245/45-17 on the TL. Great tire, smooth ride, crisp handling, no noise, and are holding up quite well with @ 12K of driving. They do have a wider tread than most, except for the W4s @ $119.

Well I wound up going to the place I got my Nokian WR G2's at and complained about the tread not lasting - I got 23,000 miles out of a 50,000 mile rated tire! So they said that wasn't normal and gave me a credit of over $100 per tire and I'll be getting the same tires put on next week for just over $100 per tire!! I'm definitely renewed in my faith with this shop and the tire, because they're not afraid to stand behind them. Thanks for the info though.
