Tires

Bought a 06 TL couple of weeks ago, love the car except for the tires. Its got Nankang Sports on it and they are really noisey, especially braking. Asked the dealer if he would work with me on replacing them for me and he said he would. Looked at tires on tirerack.com and came up with 2 that would work. They are the Michelin Pilots Sport A/S plus and the BFGoodrich g force Super Sports. Do any of you guys have these on your car?, If so, are you satisfied with them? Also, the car had really bad scuffing on the rims of the wheels. the dealer fixed them for me, but it seems the 235/45/17 width tire is not wide enough for the stock rims causing the rims to stick out to far against curbing. I'm thinking of going to the 245/45/17's. Has anybody put this size tire on their car? Any issues with body rubs going to a wider tire?

245/45-17 is a wise choice as I always recommend that size, and have the Yokohama S.4 245/45-17 on our TL. Any recommendations as to tire brand is purely subjective as if you ask 6 people you may receive 6 different answers. Look at all the information available and pick the tire that suites your needs. If you want a wide tire, take a look at the Yokohama W4s 245/45. You'll find it almost 3/4" wider than the two tires mentioned, and it's actually wider than the S.4, but at a much lower cost. Just don't count on it as a great tire in the snow, but of course most UHP tires leave a lot to be desired in that environment.
