Tire Sizes

I've been looking on here for a while to see what looks good on these cars. I've come here from the world of deep staggered wheels having owned several BMW's recently. I know the TL is fwd but I like the look of deep wheels and will stay with that. I liked the way one members car looks in particular but he stated that he has 275/30/19's on the rear. Is this acheivable without modifying the car? Here is the one i'm speaking of. I really like this look but don't want to cut my car up as it's still under waranty.

i have the same question but ...

I have 225/30 20 X 8.5 and they store i bought them from said that if i went with a wider tire or taller tire 235/245 35/40 it would rub.

as is stands my wheel sticks out further than my tire and im concerned for the future of my wheels. I want to sell my brand new tires if i can get a wider tire or taller tire on my wheels.

dont get me wrong the rubber band look is hot but and the ride is nice ...

If you like enjoy spirited driving then that is about the most rediculous thing you can do to the TL as it will understeer like a mutha hunchin Buick.

If you are a fan of "all show and no go" it looks like it will work.

If you want the best tire size for the TL without putting a bigger tire on the front, where they should be I suggest using 255/40/18 on all four corners.

Performance driving

I'm not too concerned with spirited driving anymore or I would have stayed with my previous vehicles. I traded in a 03 M5 for this TL. I just still want the car to look hot. Not trying to insult the car, obviously I like it or I wouldn't have bought it but I still want a certain look without the reliability issues and maintenance cost's from BMW.
