Tire recommendations for the Aspecs?
I've read numerous posts/searches about tires and sizes but I had a few more questions.
I have a 05' TL on Aspec suspension and soon to be Aspec wheels. I'll be running 245/40/18 tires and I don't know what kind of tire to go with. I drive pretty aggressive so I can be hell on tires. Currently, I'm running an all season directional tire (Toyo proxes 4's) on stock wheels and my only gripe is the life of the tire due to the soft rubber. I'll probably won't change my driving style so something has got to give. I balance, rotate, and align my car every 5k so I wouldn't mind going with another directional tire but winters get pretty cold here in GA (some snow and ice), so I think that throws out the directional summer tires.
I think I'm leaning towards another all season tire (directional or bi-directional) unless you guys talk me out of it. The General Exclaims UHP got rave reviews but I think they are either backordered or discontinued. The Continental DWS also have great reviews but I'm not sure that it's aggressive enough for those Friday-leave-work-early-spirited-drives to the gym. The GY Eagles are bad but have ok reviews. The BFG gforces have stiff walls and are noisey... the blah, blah, blaaaaahahahhaha....
So, any input would be greatly appreciated...
