Tire recommendation

Had Goodyear Eagle Response Edge.... absolutely hated them. Hated driving my car. Vibration was awful.... got the car aligned several times thinking that was the problem. When I get on the highway... the whole car vibrates. I thought my rear view mirror was going to fall off.
Just got some new shoes today. Falken 452's. Figures that it was the tires making all the vibration before. I love driving my TL again. Smooth and quiet. Can get on the highway and get above 50 without thinking something is going to fall off the car due to the vibrations from the previous tires. Best $617 (discount tire) i've ever spent on my TL.

I just installed the ContiExtremeContacts last week and so far like them much better than the Avon A/S M550's (noisy and only fair in the rain). The Conti's are great in the heavy rain, decent ride, and fairly quiet. Dry performance is not quite up to the Avon's, but I's take a very slight decrease in dry performance compared to the noise of the Avons.
If the Conti's don't last more than 30K miles, I'll try the Dunlop SP Sport Signatures next.

I just bought the Pilot Sport A/S Plus and I am pretty excited. I've never had a high end ( really expensive) tire before unless you count Pilot Exaltos in that group. They are not going on for another 10k but with the rebates Discount Tire is throwing at me I might as well buy them now.
My current 215/50/17 Pilot Exaltos are wearing excellent with rotations about every 6k. It has 40k on them and the only complaint is the usual-noise. Its probably more due to the car, I have a 06 Accord V6 MT and as a lot of Accord owners know we have a car with terrible sound insulation. I recently took a 2 day trip to LA and rented a Dodge Avenger and that car was leagues better with regards to road noise and a comfy road.

I'm about to order the new Continental ExtremeContact DWS unless anyone has any thoughts otherwise. They seem like a good, mid-priced value and with a 540 UTQG, not much can match them. I missed the TomTom promo, but they're running $547.02 delivered from tirerack. Not bad. I'd love the Pilot Sport A/S+, but can't justify the extra $200.

I had the F1 a/s prior to this and they were noisy as hell. I was so pissed about that situation because I almost went with the Pilots last time around. Never again will I try to skimp on tires, it's just not worth it. The PS A/S+ is simply the best tire I've driven and with the warranty I'll have it for at least two years (25k miles per year)
*just realized that these Conti DWS have 50k warranty on them as opposed to just the regular contiEXtreme.

I've had the Toyo Versado's on now for about 6000 kms and am very pleased with them. They are touring luxury all seasons not performance tires so don't have the performance look but they are so quiet and traction is great when the roads are wet. Paid just under $800 Canadian for them installed.

I currently have Eagle F1s which are simply the most annoying tires you can buy. Very very noisy
so now im looking for a quiet tire with good treadlife and handles well in wet and snow. also warranty is important
Michelins have a great discount going on at discount tire http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthr...1218&t=1522845,
I am considering either the Exalto, Pilot plus or regular(Plus is newer and sounds better) or yoko yk520
let me know if you guys recommend any of these or other tires. And please only recommend a tire after you have driven them for more than 10k miles.

Tajam - have put 30k on some Yoko yk520's and they are at the bars. They are now somewhat noisy and the last 5k have been unsteady in moderate rain. Handling was average, not excellent. In the first 75% of its life, OK in snow. A decent tire overall, but I will probably go for the H rated Avid H4S and see if I can get more miles out of them. Had Falken 512's - worn and NOISY in 20k. Orig Turanzas 8k and were shot.

How do you all with the DWS Conti's still like them? They have a free camera special out right now with their purchase. Im going to need new tires in the next month or so and they are on the top of my list.

I have about 1k miles on my DWS Conti's and I love them.. The DWS version beat out the Pilots in Tirerack's latest road test.
I also received my free TomTom GPS in 2wks after being told it may take 8-10wks!

Are you looking for an all season or summer tire?
For a summer tire, there's nothing that will beat the Nitto NT05 in dry performance. Noise is not bad and comfort is ok. I would give them an average in noise and comfort and less than average (estimated) tread life.
Once you try these you will never want to go back to normal tires again. Very close to an R compound race tire.

Good thing I ran across this thread. I am going to be getting some new shoes soon and was going back and forth between the toyo proxes and some Falkens. After hearing the proxes being loud, I think I will give the Falkens a shot. Thanks guys.
