Tire Rack Says Tires will fit but Mfg. websites says no

What's the deal? Tirerack says BFG G-Force KDWS will fit, but the BFG website says they may require modification to the car to make work? I have the stock 17's with 34,000 miles on OEM EL42's (Needless to say the tire is in bad need of replacement) Does anybody have these BFGs on stock 17s?

Thanks

If you buy a 235/45/17 or a 245/45/17 tire, it will fit. Other sizes will fit, too, but those are the most popular sizes (the first one is OEM, by the way).

245s fit - just look at all the posts on this forum. I have 245 kumhos and there was no problem installing them and no noticeable spedometer error. Better ride, better looks.
