Tire Question after 8,000 miles or so...
This thread is for individuals who have put new tires on their car (e.g. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, Falken 512's, Toyo Proxes and so forth) after replacing the EL-42's.
If you have reached above 8,000 miles or so, could you please write a review as to how the tires are doing now? Initially, no matter what tire we all get, it's going to be better than the EL-42...However, I am concerned about the tire after it has had a good amount of miles on it...
I know that a few days back, neuronbob had mentioned something regarding his Falkens and that they are starting to make a little more noise....I am interested in information like that...How is the ride quality? Any significant change in the noise?
Flat spotting? Tread quality?
Please let us know your experiences....Thank you...

Burning Brakes
after 4,000 miles on the Falken 512s, they are still very good.
i noticed that you are from NJ. with all the rain/snow from yesterday
and today, the tires performed very well. no flat spotting either.
the HPTs that i had originally had major flat spotting.
i think the Falkens are well worth the $100/tire price.
compared to the other tires which cost more.
