tire fitment question
Ok here is the qestion guys. I have 18x8 +45 rims. I know the 225/40 18 is the safe choice but I would really like to use 235/40 18 tires (most likely kumho 712's). My question is will the 235's fit with no problem? BTW, I am lowered on comptech springs but might upgrade to coilovers. Will the be problems with internal rubbing while turning or rubbing along the fender?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Actually you may even have a problem with the 225's. With an 8" wide wheel your offset should be +50 not +45. You are most likely gonna rub on the fender. Definitely get 225's and cut the plastic fender tabs ASAP. If that doesn't do the trick, roll your fenders. If at all possible, take back your wheels for a correct set.

you'll be rubbing if you go 235 on 18" s but if you do 17"s it will not rub on 235...... but for me i have 245/35/19 and i flared out the qtr. panel so that it won't rub.... if you want you can see pic of my car in the pic section under newbie.... if any ????? just write me
