Tire Balancing question

Going to have my tires balanced tomorrow. I noticed my rims only have weights on the rear of the rim and no weights whatsoever (i.e. tape weights) towards the outer end. What is the standard? Is it std. weights on the rear and tape weights towards the front or just std. weights on the rear.

Why are you rebalancing your wheels? Are you getting an alignment, or are you experiencing wheel vibration? Regarding placement of the wheel balance weights, as long as you don't feel any vibration, you should be good to go. However, everytime you do get your wheels aligned, you should rebalance your tires. Keep in mind, that if your tires are unevenly worn, your alignment will only last very shortly, as the uneven wear on the tires will cause you to start veering off to the side again. I hope this helps

The correct option on the machine as to where the weights are wanted must be selected, if the machine has options. That option will determine as to where the machine will direct the worker as to the amount and placement of the weight.

On the TL wheel, most will split the weight, and will apply an adhesive weight on the far inside near the spokes, and either an adhesive weight on the outer part of the inside of the wheel, or an actual wheel weight apllied to inside of the rim.

These wheels are a bit tricky to get absolutely perfect, especially if you're going to drive over the 75 MPH level.

What is the correct order for wheel alignment and tire balancing? Or does it not matter?
