Tie Rods good or bad ?
I been hearing a very low clunking sound on my driver side. I have new tokico struts with H&R race springs and new new upper ball joints. Im trying to figure out how i can tell if its the tie rods that are bad. Im able to swing them left to right is that normal ???

Get that wheel up in the air and wiggle at 9/3 and 12/6. Usually a bad tie rod will have slop left to right. Is the boot torn? Usually that happens and just slowly weathers the ball joint. Meaning, if it's torn I would just assume that if it's not a problem now it will be at some point.

I did do the check on the wheel and the tie rod is good. I'm hoping my struts isn't blown after 2 months of being on the car. I have checked it and it's not leaking. When I hit bumps it takes them good. The only time I hear this " lose sound" is if I'm going over a road that has very small bumps. It's sounds as if something was lose. I've checked all the bolts and nothing is lose. Like I said the noise Sounds is if the struts mount was lose and there was some play over small bumps.

You may need to replace the Sway bar end link on that side. Bad sway bar end link symptoms are here: http://www.ehow.com/list_6062259_sym...-sway-bar.html
I had a similar random clicking/clunking noise on my passenger side after installing my coilovers. However since installing the new end links, the noise went away. And my stock one looked good, just normal wear.
