To those with GENERAL EXCLAIM or TOYO PROXES
Im in a bit of a dillema. I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these tires in the next couple of days and since I know many of you are running these 2 brands, General Exclaim UHP and Toyo Proxes 4 on 19 inch aftermarket rims I would like to know if anyone is experiencing any steering vibrations from any of these tires. Specifically the cheaper GENERALS? I'm about to wrap these on RJ Legends.

I have proxes4 on my tsx. I noticed more fuel consumption versus stock michelins. For the price, I can't complain. It performs faultlessly, even at high temps. I never got it to break traction, even in the wet (maybe cuz it's still new)

i had toyo's on my accord that i just traded in awesome tires imho... zero road noise excellent wet and dry performance had BFGoodrich's on before and they always used to break in the rain the proxes never broke... only thing i noticed is that the rubber was softer and seemed like it wore a little faster?? could just be me cuz i kinda beat on my cars :-)

The Generals have a AA wet braking rating- thats better than most other tires, and they work really well in the dry too, I look for reasons to push the tires and suspension- do mountain fun runs- race track days etc

i have Generals on 3 of my cars. RSX turbo, scion tc s/c'd, and mustang saleen w/ 20" stock rims. i ditched the saleen's stock tires the instant we got it and slapped on the Generals. GREAT tire for the price and great wet/dry traction.
Only crappy part of these tiers is that their soft sidewall does not give the best handling compared to stiffer sidewall'd tires. But still better than stock.

Have over 30k on 18 inch generals and they are still quiet and have about another 5k to go. Traction is good in all weather. Going to be putting the same tire on in about a month.....I drive 1200 miles a week....Great highway tire as well.
