Are they b.sing me about offsets?
Everyone tells me a 40 offset will fit and will not rub? are they b.sing me or is it true? anyone with 17" with 40 offsets? 18x7.5 with 42 offsets in the NYC area ?

dude, trust me, i had some 17's with +40 offsets and they rub on every corner or ditches even on 215 tires, so don't do it unless you want to waste your money and time.

I'm running 18x7.5 with a 42+ offset. I'm lowered on Ground Control coilovers and I rubbed in the rear under a full load with 225/40/18 tires. After cutting the bumper tab, and rolling the fenders the problem was solved.
As for the 17's...I have no ides.

i wouldnt do it unless your ready for some problems i.e. rubbing

If you're getting 7.5 inch width then get atleast a 48+ offset (and you still might rub depending on the tires). If you're going with 8 inch width then get no less thatn 50+ offset. With my setup I'm fine 18x8 50+ offset, drop
