Do you mean you have RBP-Royal Blue Pearl?

The car in that thread is pearl, too-KBP-Kinetic Blue Pearl.

Ok. Don't go any higher than 17's. 18's and higher will kill performance. What about Enkei RPF1's? They're super light weight, and they come in black.

But, for $1,600, including tires, you're going to have to look for something used, most likely. Maybe some others will chime in and help out.

This is why I said you need to get a drop as well. A set of springs can be bought for cheap.

But if you want peformance...you'll want to drop your car and tighten up the suspension.

So you have $1,600 for wheels/tires, and $1,000 for a drop, meaning $2,600 total? If that's the case, you can get a set of coilovers and do it right the first time. Also, you can purchase the Progress Rear Sway Bar for that amount of money as well.

It is my recommendation that if you want to drop your car and you are on a budget, then go with springs. I highly recommend spending a few hundred dollars for new shocks/struts as well since everything is going to be easily accessed at that point. Unless you or a friend are mechanically inclined and have the tools, you will also need to consider the cost of installation, which may run you two to three hundred bones.

I was just under $800 for Tein springs, Tokico shocks and installation charges. If you can find a gently used set of coilovers for around $500, then that would be an alright option as well. I think that lowering the car is best thing you can do aesthetically. With or without the A-spec body kit, a TL dropped about 1.5-2.0 inches is hott, so matter which way you look at it.

Well, for $1k, you can get a set of coilovers. But, as has been suggested, you can look for a used set and save some $ for future rims.
