In the spring I'm giong to drop my car. I want to do a coilover system. What is the difference between the TEIN Basic and SS. I know I can install the EDFC to the SS and not the Basic but is that the only difference. I wouldn't be installing the EDFC at first. I want to see how often I really change the settings. Does TEIN offer any kind of warranty on there systems.

The SS (Super Street) and Basics are both pretty similar. The SS is a little more performance oriented, because it allows for you to change the dampening with the click of a little knob at the top of the shock assembly. The basics do not allow you to alter the dampening.

If you are going to go SS, I would just assume to drop the extra $300 and get the EDFC, I think you would use it more than you may think. The only problem is that the EDFC is not compatible with our strut tower bar, so it must be removed to hook up the EDFC. That is a pretty big problem if you ask me.

It depends on what you're doing with your TL, cause if you take your TL to the track often, then go with the SS or else if you're just looking for a decent drop, then go with the Basic... I have the SS, when I first got it I was thinking of getting the EDFC too, but now that I've had my car droped for a couple of months now, I really find no use for the EDFC, I just the ride quality that I want. And i dont find myself wanting to change it often.
