Tein Vs. Eibach Vs. H&R coilovers.. Need Advice.
Hello fellow TL'ers, need some advice on which coilovers to purchase.... if anyone has personal feedback then can provide or heard of any related issues or benefits, it would greatly be appreciated.....
thank ya'll in advance....
looking at:
Tein Super Streets
H&R Street Coilovers
Eibach Pro Coilovers
price is not the deciding factor here, but fyi. top to bottom is lowest price to highest.
teins i've had on my prelude and loved them. i know you do have the capabilities to adjust dampers but i never did when i had them on...

Have you considered Megan coilovers? I never had them but heard good things on this forum.
Edit: I found a review of the Megan's

I went with Tein SS and couldn't be happier. Money was a factor at the time and I was not able to get the EDFC. That is my only regret.
If you are looking for the lowest/most aggressive drop, Megan's is your answer.

OP: i'm in the very same predicament you are, i hope you don't mind if i ask a question or two...
TheDanger and Souljah, was hoping to eliminate some misconceptions i had regarding the Tein SS. I understand that they are dampening adjustable, and I do understand that they will be stiffer than stock, but how much stiffer are they compared to stock ride comfort? Is it uncomfortably more stiff?
Thanks in advance

i'm not looking to slam my whip so Megan's definately not in my radar....
the superstreets i have had and loved them. and the only reason why i question h&r or eibach is because i didn't know they had coilovers for those 2 manufacturers. i'm just curious if anyone is rocking those suspensions and to get a good comparison...

the roads where i live can be gnarly if your off the main hwy.. i bent a wheel (motegi sp10) on my prelude recently.. if i go w/ teh Tein, how big a difference between the basic and the SS? the coilovers on the 97 prelude will rattle a filling out of your teeth. i get enough of that in the little car. i might do some track days in the TL, but mainly just twisty back road fun.

I'm gonna order the Tein SS from heeltoeauto.com, I'm gonna buy the top hats from them for another 140 so I don't have to take the hats off from the stock ones. At that site, when u order the hats, they ask if you want the base TL bushings or the TYpe S bushings? Which one would be better base or type S? I have an 08 type S, reason why I'm gettin tein SS is dat i want a smoother ride, my stock suspension lil too stiff for my taste and i want my car slammed
