Tein Street basis squeaking

I installed a set of Tein Street basis a couple weeks ago and they just started squeaking yesterday. It's coming form the front drivers side and it's only over small bumps. Just got done loosening and re-tightening everything as well as resetting the preload. While messing with my ride height I did notice that my drivers side is a lot harder to adjust than my passengers side. It gets really hard to get it to go any higher than 1.6". It wasn't squeaking before when I had the car low but I realized that the ride quality was horrible because I messed up my measurements. Raised the car up to what the manual says and the ride is great but now it squeaks.

Anyone else have this problem or any suggestions?

Did you mistakenly bend your rotor dust shield and now its vibrating against the rotor on bumps?

The squeaking becomes audible only over bumps?

nope checked that earlier. Its a very clear squeak over small bumps or uneven roads.

That's a strange noise to report from a coilover.

Have you swapped the front left and right coilover assy's to check if the noise follows one particular shock?

If the noise stays where it is after the swap, then at least you narrow it to something on the car. Usually, that type of noise is from a lower ball joint failing.

Or have you tried having someone bounce the car while you look under it?

I'll give it a shot sometime this week. I was gonna disassemble and reassemble the coilover today but realized I would probably need another set of hands. No sounds when I bounce on the car but I did it after shooting a bunch of white lithium grease around everything. Didn't get a chance to drive the car afterwards so i'll check back in when I drive to work tomorrow

Noooo don't shoot grease on stuff, my man. That's a really awful idea.

Try to clean that stuff off (don't use brake cleaner or any harsh degreaser). I'd use dish soap and a rag and water.

I'm bumping this because I also have a squeak/squish sound on my driver's side coilover over small bumps as well. I installed a set of Street Advance Zs in May. What is going on with your driver's side top hat? I see that it is much higher than your passenger side. Please excuse my ignorance, because I paid extra to have Heeltoe pre-install new hats and Type-S reinforced bushigns.

Well in my case when I was swapping the tophats over from my stock suspension I somehow installed 2 bushings on top and none on the bottom.

I've heard that with the SAZ it will squeak due to the dampening settings. Did you set it pretty stiff right away? Try setting it to thew softest setting and riding a couple day then going from there. Or it might be the other way around, I don't really remember.
