As far as the coil overs it'self, I was quite impressed with the first test drive. they rode pretty well on my way home. Drove about five miles. They felt better than my stock suspensions, which I was amazed about. How is that possible?!

I am definitely looking to buy these as well. I have an 04 6mt, I know I have to buy new top hats. Do I do that online or at the dealership (I want the cheaper option) and whats the difference between getting the type s top hats or base top hats?
This review pretty much made up my mind for me. thanks again bro

on the heel toe website. I have the option of getting top hats there. Is it cheaper if i do it off oemacuraparts?
and if im going 3' down...do I need a camber kit? just rear or both?

^^^ Thats Very Low. You will probably need camber kits.
I went -1.7" lower F&R because Tein suggested that. I was probably at a MAX without camber kits. Got an aleignment and everything was fine at -1.7".
When I bought all the top hats and parts from Acura in person in early 2009 I spent about $140+ Kind of a hassel. I am buying the parts from Heeltoe when I order my Tein Advance coilovers, only $200 more. All in One package

Ya thats the problem. Because im going so low I will need a camber kit. I know i need the rear for sure. Do you think I need the front as well?
I live in Canada and I will have to pay shipping. I was looking for it all to come out to around $1000. So looks like ill have to give up on the dampening and go with the ht spec v1 with the camber kits and top hats. Pretty depressing cause I wanted the tein advanced

I got the advance and installed them. For everyone thats installed them what did you set your dampers at. Im currently 8/8 and its good except when you hit bumps going fast, it harsh.

When I installed Tein SS back in spring of 09 on my 06 6-speed, I also installed a Progress 24mm RSB and Yoko 245/35/19" S-Drive summer tires. After I lowered it -1.7 inches F&R and adjusted the damping, I was AMAZED how awesome the car rode and handled. WOW.

Guys, thanks for the reviews and the comments. I have been looking into these for a while and I think these might be it. I have 05TL, MT, I am looking to lower mine to like 1.5", not more than that def! do you think I will need anything else? I don't need the top mounts since my stock ones are still pretty good.

I love this review of the teins...I feel identical to you about these vs. the other monotube and separate preload setups that allow you to slam.
although I have a feeling that picture of the drilled strut bar might be me. Once I dialed in the softness I wanted, I didn't want more so to me, the SS is plenty for me (although obviously nice to have an improvement on that.)
Funny, I actually maxed my SS yesterday...might kick it back up a quarter inch...it rides butter smooth, but when you hit an edge or pothole it is pretty brutal maxed out.

Well stop there! I have about that many theads left now...you would be surprised how much worse the ride is with no threads left. I really wish I could rock it that way, but I'm telling you...with it like that was manageable, but I took 1 person in the car and the ride was sucky as heck.

Drifting
Not to be negative^^^but there's no way these are 200% more adjustable then the SS's...I have the Tein Ss on my Tl with a 2.5inch drop...Teins are great but come on.....Marcus is definately who anybody should go with...ur drop Eats in th first pic looked like a 1.7inch drop......I did same thing at first and had t go lower...glad I chose Teins...only thing is they get squeaky once u tuck tire...
#69
I'm tucking tire as of Saturday!...no squeaking or harsh ride..I haven't even touched my dampening settings since day 1.......
U forgot these are the tein ss nightmare...lol
Check their site it ,it describes everything I've said plus a chart on how they categorize each tein Coilover they make...

Well, I'm not sure I understand the 200% thing anyway...is it that it's twice as soft on SOFT and twice as hard on HARD!? Either way, I haven't dampened it one bit in over 3 years.
Squeaky!?? I couldn't tolerate how bad the smallest uneven surface felt long enough to hear anything. The only thing that does annoy me is that once you go so low that the spring isn't touching the top anymore when you jack the car up...then you have to guide the springs back into place as you lower the car.
This is where it's sitting now...with a little less than a 1/2" left from bottom perch to bottom tube.

TEIN recommends 1 inch from bottom perch to bottom of shock body. Mine are set 1 line less than 1/2" all around with an extra 100 pounds worth of subs in trunk.

Tucking tires up front...slightly in the back....dampening set at 10 clicks from stiff in the rear and 11 in the front.....ride is still smooth..my friend has it at 12 in the front but I havent taken a ride in his..most likely softer and my ride is sod already...
I will post pictures tomorrow
