Tein Coilovers?

so i'm about to buy my coilovers. I decided on tein street advance, and im gonna get new top hats but when looking around i noticed that the coilovers looked different, even though they both say 04+ TL. mind you i have an 06.

Both items listed are the same product and they are made for the TL. It just depends which vendor you want to order from.

Either one, you're golden.

Personally I ordered from Heeltoe because I had a coupon code which may be still valid, "swoosh".

He had great service, emailed me when the coils got to him, when he shipped them, ect, his communication was on par

If your hats are in good condition you'll be fine but I was able to order from oemacuraparts.com and get all new top hats, and all the other little parts for like $130.

I thought it was worth it, new coils, why not new everything?

130 is a little cheaper than heeltoe 145$-185$ installed. but how hard is it to put together really. But yeah might as well go all out haha.

Plus you don't have to disassemble the old struts to get the top hats.

It's fairly simple, I myself couldn't do it without instructions though. My brother helped me install the coils and he has previous knowledge about installing suspension.

Basically the instructions are down to the T of how to assemble them, very straight forward.

In this thread...

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/tein-street-advanced-coilover-review-852475/

You will find a list of all the parts with part #s you need to assemble the coilover completely.

Robert....I just saw this thread...

Teins are great coils...I had them for over 4 years....I recently switched to ISC N1's and love them a lot....they are offered at a great price and include top hats and offer preload adjustability and are cheaper than Tein SA/SS....

Teins however have a lonnnng history backing them up....also they allow support to run EDFC....

either choices are good and you cant go wrong....Marcus (heeltoe) and Josh (XLR8) are great vendors and will take care of you....I am working with XLR8 to get the coupon code setup on his website as well, hopefully it will go through

truthfully, if Heeltoe can install the tophats with all other parts. I'd rather let them take care of it.

If you dont have a spring compressor, you will need one. So there goes the added cost.

edit:......just rememberd, when I did the coil's in my s4, I didnt need to compress the spring to put the top hat on.

Correct No spring compressor needed UNLESS you're taking apart your OEM suspension.
