Suspension help and suggestions

Hi guys so I am now looking for my next mod. I am planning on getting a new suspension setup. I honestly do not want the car slammed with no wheel gap. I would prefer maybe one 1/2 inch to 1 inch gap, and would also like a smooth ride. I honestly did try to search for about 45 mins but it seems I am incompetent at this. lol.

So my question is does anyone have a pic of this setup after it settles in?

Also what would be your guys suggestions?

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

With what you want your best bet is A-Spec suspension or probably springs.

Ok thanks, but shouldn't you upgrade shocks when you upgrade srings? and what springs would you recommend.

I see, but he put or springs so I thought he was implying only upgrading the springs. Any other viable options that have the same ride height but preform better than aspec?

Edit, nvm I see you are suggesting the Aspec read it wrong ahahah running on two hours of sleep installed my aspec last night.

Yeah springs (not A-Spec) would require a different shock, otherwise you'll wear the stock shocks down rather quickly.

Idk what springs are really great but I've heard Tein has pretty good springs. CLtotheTL32 has Tein springs and he likes them, just wished they were a tad lower in the back.

I dont think Aspec is worth buying to lower our car because you can hardly tell, get a shocks and springs like a koni supercup kit(heeltoe has them)......or some tokico shocks with h&r sport springs..(best simple setup, ride was really smooth and sporty at the same time..

I think you said you want a 1/2"-1.0" gap. That means you want to drop the car about 1.25"-1.75"

Tein Street Advance are your BEST BET
They are awesome coilovers
You can lower your car from -1.0"-2.6" & 2.9"
Also damping adjustment from mushy soft to rock hard ride.
You wont be dissapointed !!!!
$900 with shipping, everything you need
Plain coils SUCK IMO !!!
I have had both, so this is from experience.

When I lowered my car about -1.7" front and rear using Tein SS coilovers I had about a 1/2" gap. Rode awesome, handled awesome, looked AWESOME

Acura A-Spec coilovers are about 1/2"-3/4" drop. Not much

This is mine on Comptech springs and ( yes heaven forbid ) stock shocks. If your car isn't too high a miles stock shocks will last just fine .. its been 3 years on mine. Where they give out on aftermarket springs is if your dropped too low or they are old and due anyway.

Yeah I have read a lot of good stuff about that, and I don't mind paying 900 if the ride is ideal plus I will have the option to go lower or higher if I wanted to. Hopefully I can find someone to let me drive their with that setup.

Just keep in mind every time you change the drop you alter the alignment geometry and you could induce abnormal tire wear.

Yeep .. if you don't mind loosing about 3 hours of your time every time you do it .. and it won't always be at your beck & call... , ya I know .. it takes about an hour but then there is travel time and every time the tech does the alignment you risk wheel damage and even a bad alighnment.

We see it every day where the shops are lax with the toe settings and we all know how critical toe is on our lowered cars.

Anyway ... least your aware... its not just a matter of up & down adjustments.

yeah totally agree, thats why I would search for a reputable shop, also I don't even know how often or even if I would raise/lower, but it would be nice to have the option to.

I have the ISC N1 coilovers from the XLR8 group buy and the ride quality is awesome! 32 levels of damper adjustment and you can lower the car up to 3 inches. Someone is selling them in the black market for the price we paid for the group buy $850! But you better hurry https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/isc-n1-coilover-3g-tl-856053/

I have H&R Sport Springs with Tokico HTS shocks and love the drop and the way it rides. Only limitation is I can't adjust height, but if you're good with a modest drop I give these a . Also, I have a lot of pics to show my current stance posted in my profile.

However, if you have the $$ Cash, get coilovers.

Yes, 1Xracing is not a legit dealer and can cause more issues then benefits. I tried to order a set of coilovers and got a reply, currently out of stock, however, other vendors informed me that there were no current shortages on the particular model coilovers I was trying to purchase. Ended up tying up my funds in paypal for over 3 1/2 weeks. And missed out on my chance to get coilovers.

Tein SS and Advance are pretty much the same, Advance being the newest version of the SS. The main difference with Tein Basic, form the other two, is that is does not have dampening adjust.

For maximum ride comfort and a reasonable drop the TEIN Street Advance are your best bet. We have a number of sets of these in stock as well.

If you find a lower price PM us and we will do our best to match it.

This is also another great option. A little firmer than the TEIN coilovers but more adjustment in every way.
