Suspension HELP! Can't decide...

Bottom line, I have an 05 TL (Base, Automatic) and I want to lower my car and get better handling. I'm a newbie to suspensions so I need serious help. Some have told me to go with the A-Spec suspension for manual TL's, the only thing I'm hesitant of is the fact that it doesn't provide much drop. Others have said to go with a Tein? suspension. Don't really wanna spend over $600-700. Which one do I go with?? If the Tein, which model?

Or should I just go with the Tein STech springs and keep the rest of the suspension OEM?

grab the neuspeed supercup kit! comes with koni shocks and ur choice or neuspeed "sport" or "race" springs. hieght and damper adjustment on all four shocks! great buy imo and u will stay within budget as the kit directly from neuspeed is $699 shipped i believe.

i am facing the same dilemma, from what ive been reading up on this is what i can suggest

go with tein s tech and koni shocks or if u wanna spend a lil less get some nonadjustable shocks.

So, to update everyone, I've decided to stick with the A-spec suspension built for manuals for my 05 TL (Automatic). I'm also gonna go with the 08 TL Type S front and rear sway bars as I've seen many people have reccomended it. I've listed the part numbers that I've found, some are missing, it would be great if anyone could verify the part numbers I've found and fill in the part numbers that I'm missing. This is all new for me so thanks for all your help!

05 TL A-Spec Suspension for manuals - ???
08 TL-S Rear Sway Bar - 52300-SEP-A11
08 TL-S Rear Sway Bar Bushing - 52306-SEP-A11
08 TL-S Front Sway Bar - 51300-SEP-A21

if you live in a place that has a lot of pot holes like nyc , don't get the koni's....the c clip that holds the bottom spring perch will brake the first or second time you hit a pot hole....don't get me wrong they are great shocks but they are not made for pot holes....i would go with tokico blues and h&r sport or race .....but for a lil more just get the tein basics....either way you go get the rear sway bar....

honestly i would reconsider, the aspec isnt that much noticable yea people have said if u swap out the spring it will lower it even more, but if u add up the new springs (200-250 roughly) and the aspec which is about 600? so combined about 8-9 hundred? im going with the neuspeed you should look into that 699 shiped.

bro are u serious!!! after all this research i thought i found the perfect match!!!!!! and i was actually recommend to stay away from the teins, but the same person did recommend the h&r or eibachs springs with the tokico illumina shocks even though the blue are more expensive...which i didnt think made sense. but he said the koni yellow are actually just as good if not better than the tokico! also ive decided to stay away from coilovers, as im not going to fully utilize it and that would be a waste of money for me. not to mention the ride wouldnt be as comfortable something i dont wanna compromise!

as far as the sway bars any recommendations?

am not wishing you bad luck but just stay away from pot holes......i had koni with skunk 2 coilovers and i hit a pot hole on the west side hwy and the c clip broke...i had to drive home with the front right tire rubbing on the fender...the clip only cost a couple of bucks but the tire cost 180...

i think koni's with eibach sports are great... way better then my teins coilovers i got now but just don't hit any pot holes or bumps...just my

ive heard great things about eibach i dont think anyone has anything negative to say about it, but the neuspeed super cup kit comes as that, so i would imagine thats the best combo.

+1. If you can, do it right the first time and go with coils.
