Stretched tires

Do stretched tires perform much different than a non stretched tire? I would image so I am hoping some of you that are riding on stretched set ups can inform me of the expected differences. I have an 04 Auto TL 19x8.5 with 225/35/19 up front and 19x9.5 235/35/19 on rear 35mm offset on both.

no reason to be runnin a 225/35 in the front with those specs...if u were sittin flush and dropped pretty good i could understand...i would bring that to a 235/ front...and in the rear u could do a 245 series...alittle stretch wont hurt but needs to be justified to do it

i agree with those specs you shouldnt need to stretch your tires unless you are pretty low but even then i dont see the need for much stretch. also what tires are you using. different tires react differently to stretch so if you are stretching you will want to have a tire that stretches well.

Im dropped HT spec 2. 2" to 2 1/4" all around without being rolled. Tires seem to be just clearing the fenders as it sits I was afraid if I went a little wider I would need a roll. I will post pics later.

need to pics to see where you stand...but from the specs you listed, i would just go with a 235/35 all the way around.

i'm running a 225/35 on mine but i have much more aggressive specs than you.

always always run a more appropriately sized tire if you can. more cushion, no exposed lips, more comfortable, better handling, you get the idea.

in for pics.
