Stock Wheels With 40 Series Tires?

Stock Wheels With 40 Series Tires?

is it possible to go from 235/45/17 to something 40 series, stock 17 rims? if so, is there an advantage/disadvantage. will the change alter anything? speedometer? thanks

you can run 255/40-17. Slight difference in diameter but nothing major. I put on 255/40-17 nitto 555's about 8000 miles ago and I love them.

Theres a whole thread on running 255/40-17's try searching and you'll find it

Also 245/40, which is ~2.5% difference.

What are you trying to accomplish?
