Steel wheels or spend more for alloys?

I'm buying 4 winter tires this year since I will be going to school in Erie, PA. I'm torn because I want alloy wheels but then again I could save money and just get steel wheels. I'm going with 16" wheels either way due to price. What do you guys have in the winter? Here's a couple different ones I was looking at on tirerack. Steelies or spend the money for alloys? I also realize these wheels are junky but I don't really mind since they're for winter duty.

I have stock wheels for the winter.

Steel wheels will eventually rust up after a few years, but they're so cheap anyways.

why not buy honda accord 16" alloy rims! They are OEM, probably dirt cheap as most people want larger wheels and will have a huge selection of tires available. It'll be super cheap used esp considering it's a great winter setup.

I bought a set of Type-S replica wheels from Tobacco Road for $500 delivered. I don't know your budget, but you can surely have a set of winter wheels/tires and still look good

If you live in a place like I do where there's a ton of snow and they salt the roads, then go for the steel wheels. I have TL five spoke wheels with my winter tires and they are pretty much trashed from the corrosion (they came with the car.) However, if you get them for a good price and are ok with them only lasting a couple of years before they're fugly, then go for the alloys.

That's why I'm not sure because they might not last long.

Could I just get these from a dealer or would I have to look in a junkyard?

I also thought about this but I'm not sure about the quality of them. How have yours been?

I'll be in Erie, so yeah they're going to get wrecked by salt and stuff. But....they're way cheaper so who cares right?
