My tread on my tires are almost gone and only have 18k miles, dealership wants to charge me $500 for two new tires. I am paying for insurance, can I just pop in a nail and get it covered? Dont they have warranty or something? Or how can I get around this?

Let me save you at least a couple hundred $$: go to Discount Tire or a tire store for replacement tires instead of the dealership.

Exactly. You'd only get a few dollars discount, if anything.

As mentioned got to Tire Rack or Discount Tire or NTB or Tire Kingdom or Costco .... anywhere but the dealership to get a better price on tires.
