Staggered wheels ????
Hello,
I am thinking about running 8's in the front and 9.5's in the rear, but two tire shops said I shouldn't stagger my wheels...they said it would cause the rear tires to worn faster...has anyone heard of this???
thanks in advance

If you run a staggered set up you can't rotate your tires since the front and rear wheels are different widths. Your rear tires are gonna wear a little faster than the fronts, but not by much because the rear tires just "float" if that makes any sense. FWD car, the front tires take on most of the wear

i have run multiple staggered wheels on multiple cars, FWD, RWD, and i have never had tires wear faster in the rear just because of the wider rear tires. i ran three different staggered set-ups on my gti and every set the front wore quicker due to the front tires are the ones being pushed through corners and they are the drive wheels. my rear tires on my mustang's staggered set-up wore quicker thanks to all the clutch side-steps
