SSR Type-C RS will fit a TL Type S?

Anyone know if the SSR Type-C RS will fit the TL Type S? And when lowered?

This is a link to the wheel (there is black and archanite, i'd be getting archanite):

http://www.gruppe-s.com/SSR/SSRTypeCRS.htm

The specs are 18x8.5 with a +41 offset. By my calculation, it should fit even better than the RonJon Legends.

I went over to tire rack, and Tirerack says that the 19x8.5 inch version of the SSR rims with +40 offset will fit. Funny thing is, they carry the 18x8.5 with +41 offset and it is not listed as a wheel that would fit the TL Type S. So i figure maybe a spoke or something gets in the way ?

If anyone here has those wheels on their Type S or knows anyone with those wheels, please post pics.

This is the one and only wheel for me! I also planned to drop the car with an eibach pro kit.

Thanks guys.

Damn that is a perfect wheel for the type s... the +41 might not clear... the +33 definitely will... the way aziners are they will tell you to just go with the 19"s lol... what you may want to do is get them then purchase a 5mm eibach/or some other company's wheel spacers which will extend the offset to a +36... ultimately there is a slight chance that the +41 may clear the breaks... but if it doesn't the spacers will allow you to accomodate for the brakes... I always live by the rule that any spacer greater than 5mm causes problems... good luck

I have the SSRs (18x8.5 +42 offset) on my 6 speed and they fit over the Brembos. I think they should fit th TL-S. If you physically went over to Tire Rack, you should test fit them.

Are you sure? Doesn't a lower offset mean a wheel sticks out MORE? If the +33 will clear, how could the +41 not clear?

I mean, the stock offset is +45. So all else equal (like rim width), if the offset became +41, wouldnt the rim stick out more by 4mm?

edit: oh ok, by "clear" you meant that the rim may not clear the brakes? I figured you meant that the +41 would stick out too far and thus rub against the fender.

Oh, and to the guy above me, the rim you showed in your pic is not exactly the same rim i showed. The design is similar, but they are actually different rims by design. It is not just the coating that is different.

Just get them bro trial and error... a 5mm spacer can't run you more than $50 bux and those wheels look so damn good

The lower the offset the more chance you have of clearing the BBK, the higher the offset the closer they will be to the BBK. Not because a wheels has a lower offset than OEM means it would fit it all comes to the style of the wheels. And is a pain in the ass to find wheels that will fit with out any mods.
