Squeak After Rear Shocks/Struts Replaced
HELP!!! I recently replaced the rear shocks/struts (as well as the top mount bushings) (Monroe shocks/struts) on the my 2006 TL (@ 70K miles) and immediately developed a significant squeak in the right rear when the suspension is operating. The squeak is somewhere in the right rear. My mechanic has made several attempts to remedy the problem and now wants to replace the control arms/bushings. I am not at all convinced he knows what he is doing and I am not ready to throw any more money at this just yet.
Has anybody else experienced this problem?

Squeaking...make sure all nuts are tight, to start.
THEN, I would definitely check if you can reproduce the sound just bouncing up and down on the back right door sill.
Have someone else bounce and you stick your head in there and listen. ALSO, make sure he sat the spring in the perch correction and the rubber it sits on too...could be the dead coils rubbing against each other. Did he forget to put anything back in? Could be something as simple as the dust cap caught on something. Good luck!
