Springs

Looking at bringing my Type S out of the clouds. I'm partial to HR springs but, wondering if anyone can post pics or links of their lowered setup?
Probably keeping my OEM S rims and just painting them.
Thinking about running the widest series tire that will fit.
Thanks in advance

Most people on here seem to like the coilovers. The H&R springs give a nice drop to the TL and look really good IMO. I actually have eibach pro springs on my car w/ koni sport shocks and I'm satisfied.

heres a pic..

Preciate it, the searches so far have resulted in coilovers. I know two setups look clean and smooth, I think it were megan and HT spec 2's.

thanks guys. Your pics are what I'm looking for.
Bearcat, good looking ride. What size tires are you able to run?

Steven I also have a Silver type S. Also what size tires are you running?

Anybody have some other brands those pics are welcome as well.

Thanks.

on tires. I've been running 245/45-17, but they're pretty much the same diameter as the OE 235/45.

255/40-17 will fit too, but they are a bit smaller in diameter, about a hafl inch, iirc.

Coilovers brother, Coilovers. Wait and save. I wasted my money on lowering springs-YUK IMO...

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best. I rate lowering springs about a 2. And the Tein SS coilovers a 9.5. I like them that much more !!!!!

JUST TRYING TO SAVE YOU TIME, MONEY, AND HASSEL.

I WISH SOMEBODY TALKED ME OUT OF EIBACH PRO SPRINGS-YUK IMO.

COILOVERS ALL THE WAY BRO, ALL THE WAY

JD, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you. I'm not spending ~$1,300 to have adjustable stiffness on a Type S that has a ride that is already stiff enough. That's exactly why I went with H&R Sports Spring and spent $245 instead. I rate the Sports Springs (going with your theme) as a 10. And when you count in $1,000+ savings, I'd push that ranking up to a 12.

You had a Base TL. For that car, coils are a better consideration. But not necessarily on a Type S.

^^^ Thats OK. I paid under $1000 for my Tein SS coilovers shipped. I had a 2007 Type-S and paid $200 to have the Eibach pro kit springs put on and didnt like how hard it hit bad bumps, like a ROCK. Then I paid $180 to have them taken off before I tradded in the car.

In my opinion there is no comparison from just coils and coilovers. I am glad your happy with them. I wasn't, and others agreed with me that rode in my car.

God Bless
