A-Spec Shocks
I have an 05 base tl with the Aspec suspension. Can any one recommend a good shock replacement for this suspension. Also, are the aspect shocks the same as the base tl shocks?

The A-Spec shocks are more firm than the base shocks.
Unfortunately they have been discontinued and very hard to get now these days.
A very good replacement is the Koni Yellows. I heard you get great handling with the Koni Yellows paired to the A-Spec springs.
It is not cheap, however.
If you are in the market for dampening adjustability and ride height adjustment, consider coilovers. They only cost a little bit more than any other option.

As of March 2004, Honda offers to the public a factory-sanctioned "tuner package" version of the TL called the TL A-SPEC. This version features a suspension tuned by Makoto Tamamura, an indication of the TL A-SPEC's aggressive engineering. In addition, an underbody kit, spoiler, limited edition A-SPEC steering wheel, "A-SPEC" badge on the back, and 18-inch (460 mm) wheels are standard issue on the A-SPEC package. When installed at purchase, the car's 4 year/ 50,000 miles (80,000 km) warranty applies to the package as well.

Thanks for the replies. I used to have tein super streets a while ago but living in New York, the streets are very unforgiving. I now commute to the city everyday and the streets are the worst there. The a-spec suspension is perfect for me in this regard. I am looking to keep my a spec springs but am looking to replace the shocks soon. I still have my original shocks that came with the car and was thinking of just throwing those on but did not know how different the ride would be. I would like a shock thats comparable to the a-spec shocks and can take a beating like oem shocks lol.

I am in the market for replacement stocks/struts; Koni sounds like a great option for an upgrade. Dose anyone know they have them in an assembly; like the struts assembly included the spring? I have search online; looks like Monroe is an option but personally I don't care for it! Any other suggestion out there where I don't have to deal with the spring myself? Thanks,

Koni does not sell full top-hat to lower mount assemblies.
So you would have to deal with the springs.
Food for thought:
A proper hydraulic, ground mounted spring compressor that won't kill you is like $150 or so at harbor freight.
That's cheaper than buying a second set of tophats and springs. And its cheaper than labour to swap springs.
