A-spec Rims. 18x8.5 vs 18x8

Hi guys,

So one of my rims is super messed up. I have an 04 TL, which had the Aspec kit added on at full, so in turn I was lucky to receive the 18x8.5" Gun Metal Rims.

That being said, it is extremely hard right now to find 18x8.5" Aspec rims. I can find an abundance of 18x8's however.

Is there a visible difference cosmetically if I were to only have one 18x8 tire vs. 3 other 18x8.5 tires?

I'm assuming you have the 04-05 gunmetal wheels. If so that was the only years they made the that particular color. There is an auction on ebay to purchase 1 wheel so it will match your other 3 in both size and color.

Hmm, I'm more curious as to how different the extra .5 in width looks from the outside. Will somebody look at my car and think, "Hey, is your front wheel smaller than the rest?"

Nah...the extra width is inboard from the hub so no one will notice. Besides the colour, the '04 A-Spec just allows fitment of slightly wider tires.

And weight somehow will have to play a role here, I would imagine.

i can't imagine it being good for the balance of the car to have one rim .5 inches thinner.... but i'm no expert.

I just got a set of these 8.5 inch wide Gunmetal wheels online from Acura of Lynnwood. No other A-Spec wheel will precisely match your color. I think their price for one wheel is $316.

if it was a poker hand you'd have 3 of a kind... but since it is your ride... thats like hitting when you've got a 20...

excuse the gambling rational lol

I have 2 aspecs 18x8.5 both bent but one is a lot worse than the other. If you put them in the back some would say it would not matter but it mattered to me (I am a bit OCD with my car). You can have them if you know someone who can fix them or something, you pay shipping.

they are too wide for the tire that is being put on it by the dealers, they stick a 235 tire on it when it needs a 245 or a 255 at the minimum.
