A-Spec + Comptech...The Verdict

I just picked up my car which which was in for the installation of the A-Spec Suspension and the Comptech Rear Sway Bar. Wow! In straight line cruising, the difference is negligible, such that the stock suspension ride is pretty much preserved, however, braking nose dive and acceleration rear swat is vitually eliminated as is any leaning in corners. It feels much more solid, buttoned down. It corners fast and flat with none of the "jiggly" sensation associated with some sporting suspension set-ups. This set-up is GREAT! It has been said many times before on these forums and I will just confirm...IMO, this is the way the stock TL should come straight from the factory.

I am searching for an Aspec suspension as we speak to go with my bar and new tires. Glad to hear you love yours.

What tires do you have?
Where did you get the suspension from?

I do love it. It's a different car!

I am still running the stock Michelins for now. However, I do have 18's on order (Konig Wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 DS G3's) and plan to put them on once winter is behind us.

I got the A-Spec suspension from the dealer and bought the sway bar direct from Comptech.

What did the dealer charge you for it? Also do you have a pic of your shifter?

They charged me $750 for the A-Spec suspension, but $500 for the install and 4 wheel alignment!!!! Many have gotten them installed for much less. I just couldn't work that deal with my dealer.

I do have a pic of my shift knob, but haven't mastered the ability to post it. I would be glad to e-mail you pic though..
