Side pics of Tein High tech springs on 18's
Looking for side pics on any ride with the Tein High Tech springs on 18's. The wife won't let me get until she sees the drop is not that low. Prefer a before and after shot if possible.
Thanks

the tien h springs only lower it about .8" so it should sit about the same as a-spec which is 1" so just take her to the dealership and say see honey this is how low it will sit which is not that low

Thanks! But aren't the Inspyre II's 18 and stock 17"? Really looking for before/after w/18's. She can't visualize well- so she needs pics. I think she thinks by a drop it's going to look like some of those weed scrapers out there.

Why not go for A-spec 6MT suspension kit that drop your car about 1 inch, perfect drop without worry and plus you got OEM parts.

The High Tech give a similar ride (see the ride chart on here somewhere for the details) AND the High Techs cost about $500 Less (open maket price is $150). And since the High Techs don't drop the car much, the stock shocks are FAR less likely to wear out (than those guys doing 2" drops)

I am curious to just how much of a drop people are getting with the h-techs. seems the manufacturer says about .6-.7 inches, but some people have posted that they are getting 1.2 inches. That seems to be more in line with the s-techs. I would love the "h"ride quality with the "s" 1.2 inches of drop. perhaps I need to trim a little bit of the coil on some h-techs to get that. I know that trimming the coil will make it a touch stiffer though.

Here's some quick pics of H-Techs on 19's. The tires are Toyo T1Rs 245/35/19. The overall height compared to stock is slighty more. Not too much gap around the fenders. My drop is probably more than most in the back since I have amps and subs in the trunk. It's around 1". (Maybe a little more). I had the H-Techs on stock wheels and the ride was good. The real difference in ride was when I change to the Ronjon Inspyres.

hey king of pain, did you get a drop of 1in from day one with the h-techs? have you notice anymore sag since you last measured? like pohljim was saying, they are only rated at 0.6in drop. i too and looking to drop my car very soon. ideally at 1.25 inches, so i'm not sure if the h-tech or the comptech/eibachs will get me closer to 1.25 inches.

as for the s-tech, i'll pass on those. people are saying they are getting 1.5-2.0in on those, which is more than i want.
so for the people with h-tech, this is your chance to chime and and set the record straight.

You have to remember I'm carrying 2 JL audio amps plus a sub and everything else I have built into my trunk for my audio setup. I remember measuring it when I first dropped it and it measured 1 inch. It's been about 1 year and it's maybe dropped 1/8 to 1/4 inch more in the back as the shocks/springs settle and break-in. MrHeelToe did the install. I had it re-aligned by the dealer. According to the techs at acura these shocks can take a 1 drop and still be fine. No camber kit needed.
beatni(c)k You're in Fulleton, I'm in Corona. PM me if you need to see my car in person.

Slammed_JDM : not looking to slam my ride. i was considering the h&r springs but i think that may be lower than what i'm looking for.

sorry to high jack your thread and people might think this is a stupid newb question. I was wondering: would i also have to change the struts if i go with the h&r? How harsh will it be? I recently sold my car which was a 97 nissan maxima . Lowered on Tein S-techs(2.2f 1.8r) with koni yellows and it was extremelly harsh.

as for ride quality...the h-techs feel very close to stock and offer a noticeable drop. can't say about the H&Rs, but they are lower and are surely going to offer a harsher ride because of that.
